The Butterfly Cannon is made from English Willow that has a natural stain.  The stain at times can resemble that of butterfly wings giving it its name. The stain adds strength and power to the blade giving it a longer lifespan, with less likely hood of breaking.
In past decades this willow was used by batmakers to provide bats to the highest level of cricketers from around the world. Untill the modern era of cricket where it became all about staight grains and blemish free bats.
 
Although these bats may not be aestheticly pleasing to some they repesent a high performing long lasting bat at a budget friendly price.
